my computer is back up and running once again… i don’t know exactly what was wrong with it, except that they checked off the “repair circuit board” box on the repair diagnostic sheet. fortunately it was still under warranty, otherwise i’m sure it would have been an expensive problem to fix. as it was, it ended up being nothing more than a minor inconvenience
i learned a lot about myself during the month and change that i was without my laptop, most of which i’m still processing. all in all, i think it was a good thing to learn to go without yet another “necessity.” sometimes removing something from your life for a time gives you a much clearer picture of both its qualities and its faults (the same could be said for people too, it seems)
the wanderlust is starting to get to me… this is quite possibly the longest that i’ve gone without leaving the state in several years
tomorrow is going to be a snowshoeing extravaganza. i can't wait
